Sprawled in a 26-acre campus, Munich International School (MIS) was founded in 1966 in Starnberg, Germany, to create academically successful, life-long learners, creative and innovative thinkers, ethical, globally-minded contributors, and healthy, well-balanced individuals who will thrive and make a positive impact in a complex and changing world. The school takes care of physical and emotional wellbeing of its students.
The school is affiliated with International Baccalaureate (IB) since 1980 and is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
At present, over 1300 students from 65 countries are studying at MIS. The school has one of the most caring, competent and committed teachers hailing from over 24 countries.
MIS believes in balancing different aspects of lives—intellectual, physical, and emotional—to achieve well-being and recognises that each human being is interdependent with other people and with the world in which we live.
