Situated in Lima, Markham College was founded in 1946 by a group of Anglo-Peruvians who wanted to impart their children exclusive British-style education. This is a co-educational school from Nursery to higher classes. The school uses its unique 'SmartBoards' system to educate children in a scientific way. Apart from academics, Markham also offers classes in Design & Technology and Computer Studies.
The school currently has strength of over 2000 pupils from above 34 countries of the world. The objective of Markham College is to provide its students excellent academic education in English and Spanish leading to a high degree of success in a wide range of international public examinations. Instilling moral values in children is also its prime aim.
An Outdoor Education Programme is also an integral part of education and students are offered greater learning opportunities within the College and abroad linked with an international exchange programme. Markham is also associated with Round Square International (www.roundsquare.org) to engage students in national and international service projects.
Markam's educational philosophy is summed up in 3 letters – CAS (Community, Action, Service). Involvement in these 3 core activities unleashes the potentials of children.
